Teenagers take charge against the pandemic

Amidst all the annihilation caused by Covid-19, there are some teenagers who have stepped up and are helping the people living in slums. Akshat Ojha from Maharashtra’s Navi Mumbai along with some of his friends are distributing masks, sanitizers and full time meal to around 200 people in the slums of Koparkhairne ( a town in New Bombay).

Seeing their efforts, a colleague  named Suraj Yadav who is a teacher has joined them in their deed and he has distributed Rs 2000 each to 110 of his students. Apart from this , they have started an online crowdfunding campaign to help the needy. They have distributed meals to local auto drivers, sanitation workers,  daily wage workers of worth over Rs 50000.

Apart from this, they have successfully launched a campaign to educate the uninformed people who have no access to internet and media and helped them with proper hand washing techniques and explained them about social distancing. They will continue to feed the people until the lockdown ends and the people get back to work and can afford a meal for themselves.
